RECRUITMENT PROCESS
To recruit the best engineers in Cuba, we created a platform just for them – cuban.engineer.
- REGISTRATION AT CUBAN.ENGINEER
- PROFILE CREATION
- ONLINE-ASSESSMENT
- ON-SITE ASSESSMENT
- TRIAL PERIOD
- BECOMING AN ALEPHER
Every engineer in Cuba can apply to be part of the cuban.engineer platform. They can be invited from one of the users or just login with any social networks and request an account.
New users create profiles that associate their social networks and work examples through platforms like GitHub and StackExchange. Cuban.engineer’s heuristics automatically categorizes the professional information and technological skills of users.
After registering, users have the opportunity to share more of their skills by completing online questionnaires and assessment modules about their English language skills, personality and coding skills.
When we need new engineers, we invite the most promising candidates to our office to meet the team and showcase their skills. The entire process takes place in English and candidates have the opportunity to meet and work with many current team members as they participate in working sessions around quality assurance, algorithms and logic, teamwork and required project skills. Every Aleph.engineering team member who has a chance to meet and work with candidates is part of the vetting process for hiring.
Our recruitment process guarantees that we only invite candidates with superior engineering skills to be interviewed. Our “working interviews” do a great job finding candidates with strong English and “soft” skills like ability to listen and understand a problem. But it takes more than those valuable skills to thrive at Aleph Engineering. Every new engineer joins us on a trial period to so we can get a sense of their ability to think creatively, learn from feedback and help the team. We also use this opportunity to share our company culture and how to work for global customers.

We know a trial period has been a success when we feel as though we have learned as much from the candidate as they have from us.
